In what I believe used to be a bank, there is now the Chrisman California Islands Center - a sort of museum and archive dedicated to the islands of California. Confusingly it seems to share the space with the Santa Cruz Island Foundation so that there is an understandable focus on the nearby Channel Islands.
Such an obscure museum.
