charred hillsides of Ventura county

Given that the Thomas Fire was the largest in California history, we were thankful to have been spared the worst, but sad for all the losses...

    The burned area on the hill (top and bottom photo) looks like it could just be scraped off, like the burned bits on a piece of toast.
