The mystery of whether or not I did hike to Smugglers Cove in 2008 lives on. I was hoping to hike there and find some clues but... parts of the trail were very steep, it was getting hot and I didn't have much water, and I was already sore from the previous day's hike and from lugging my gear around. I reached the point where I could see boats moored in the cove then prudently turned around.
It’s good to retain some mysteries regarding one’s life.
