Shoe Fence

The famous "Shoe Fence" off Highway 62 in the middle of the Mojave Desert (in a place called Rice, CA that to the eye does not resemble a town so much as a railroad crossing).

    And regarding the shoe fence - to the eye it resembles less of a fence and more of a post.
