While on the road, I made a real effort to stay healthy. I was a bit shocked that nearly every gas station and truck stop I went into did not sell hand sanitizer. They said things like "We sold it back during Covid" or else they directed me to products designed to clean babies' bottoms. The one exception was the service station on the Navajo Reservation. Here was a community that was ravaged by the Covid epidemic and wouldn't buy into the quaint idea that it was all in the past. It's definitely not in the past. Thank God for Navajos. As the saying goes, it takes a Navajo to implement a common sense health measure.
I had not heard that saying, but it’s a good one.
