Although it's been around over 100 years, the Centrella Hotel in Pacific Grove was a great discovery for us. It exceeded our expectations. Centrally located, historic and reasonably priced, it felt like an old-fashioned boarding house from an earlier era with unpretentious charm and character. Nothing too fancy but perfect for our purposes.
