Not Walker Percy's best. But then, maybe not as bad as it seemed before I actually read it. He may have simply been struggling with the insanity of the times, as he saw it. But from another angle it may appear that the insanity of the times had taken up residence in his psyche. Perhaps only an expert on Walker Percy could answer these questions.
