It had been many years since we first went to the Channel Islands Maritime Museum at the harbor in Oxnard and the visit confirmed my original impression: this is a gem of a maritime museum, covering not only local maritime history but the glories of maritime history in general. The pelicans above were a special exhibit.
The pelicans were what got me there for a second visit.
