Doran Beach

Bodega Bay has an interesting geography that can be confusing at first. We drove on the Doran Spit to Doran Beach, which faces the ocean in a southeasterly direction. This body of water, Bodega Bay, extends south to Point Reyes National Seashore and Tomales Bay - the famous submerged rift created by the San Andreas Fault. That fault line also runs through Bodega Harbor, which is on the other side of the spit. Got it?
