seafloor mapping



Sometimes the bark on a sycamore tree reminds you of a topographic map you once saw of Lake Tahoe. Seafloor mapping was an inexact science until around 1957. Now it's very accurate.

    If there was some blue on that tree it could be practically be a dead ringer.
