A road trip up the Eastern Sierra is a must on anyone's California bucket list. The unique geography of the area makes for a visual feast. Not surprisingly many films were shot here, including "High Sierra" with Humphrey Bogart. (The photo below confronted me as I waited to use a restroom. I thought it was a still from "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" but that film was actually shot in Mexico).
I guess that movie will now be on our bucket list. 🍿
