One of the reasons we stayed in Trumansburg was its proximity to Taughannock Falls, which with a 215-foot drop is the tallest waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains. This vista point was superb. While the park had more to offer (notice the bridge down by the falls), we had quite a full itinerary that day and so this was a quick first visit.
I remember trying to get he pronunciation of these falls correct. I THINK I still now how to say it, but not positive.
