For a complete cultural contrast, not far from Mission Santa Ines, we have a replica of Denmark's famous Rundetaarn (Round Tower). Built in Copenhagen in 1642, it is considered the oldest function observatory in Europe. The one here in Solvang was completed in May 1991. We could see the top of it from our room.
But a much smaller replica, eh?
