Somehow, just as it started to rain, we found ourselves parking the Scoot Coupes at the historic Redwood Library & Athenaeum. Founded in 1747, it is the oldest continuously operating library in the United States. The library Ben Franklin founded in Philadelphia in 1731 is older, but has not occupied the same space - as has the Redwood. And what a fine space that is, built in 1750 by Peter Harrison, "America's first architect".
