Not far beyond New Oxford was Gettysburg, which had a much bigger, almost grandiose town square with many more shops and restaurants. Then again, Gettysburg is famous. The main road took us through town and then, apparently, through the historic battlefield known as Gettysburg National Military Park, seen here.
