The view from the top of Mount Oberon is well worth the hike. The best view is to the west where you can look right down on Tidal River and its beach, its clear waters and waves, and the chain of islands and rocks in the distance. Not something I see every day. Whereas looking south toward the southernmost point of mainland Australia (bottom photo) and the is nice but not as impressive from this particular vantage point. The great blue beyond in all these photos is the Tasman Sea, which separates Tasmania from the mainland.
