Tidal River is exactly what it sounds like - a river that flows into the sea, the level of which is determined by both rainfall and the tides. At the time of our visit the level was very low, leaving most of the flat, sandy riverbed exposed. The river itself was tea-colored, which interestingly is caused by the presence of tea trees. Aesthetically it was one of my favorite parts of the park, reminding me of all things Costa Rica. That is to say that like the tropics, it was bursting with color and life - birds, bugs and other animals. The configuration of the topography and quality of light were also memorable.
LOVED the Tidal River. A real highlight.
