An Illawarra flame tree, Brachychiton acerifolius, one of many that were new to me at the National Rhododendron Garden. Same genus as the bottle trees grown as ornamentals in California, Brachychiton populneus. http://adventuretalgache.blogspot.com/search?q=bottle+tree
