After our Taliesin West tour, we had to find lunch somewhere in Scottsdale. So we tried a place called Flower Child, evidently a national chain of health-conscious restaurants. This one was across the road from a hospital. The terrace where we ate was visited by birds that, upon careful study, appear to be the females of the recently seen great-tailed grackles. Above, one of them doing their best impersonation of a hawk.
I miss those grackles.
