It was on a bike ride in the vicinity of Foster Park that I saw the structure below with the sign "Foster Park Bowl". This piqued my interest and a bit of research revealed that not only was this "bowl" an outdoor amphitheater for live performances (think Hollywood Bowl), but there was once an entire town in this area - a town that ended when state highway 33 was built in 1965. The lion gates date from 1907 and are a permanent reminder of Foster Park's former glory.
Wish I could have seen Foster Park in its glory days.
