New Jersey is also rich in Revolutionary War history. Seen here is a reproduction of the cabin General Daniel Morgan grew up in in this part of the state (Hunterdon county). Morgan was an accomplished officer involved in numerous campaigns including the Battle of Cowpens - a major British defeat in South Carolina. For his success leading a regiment from Virginia, he was awarded land in that state and after the war served as a Virginia congressman.
