other boats

For long stretches of this voyage we would see no boats. In this one scenic area there were suddenly more. On close inspection, the large one was a part of Lindblad Expeditions, the research-and-education  oriented cruise line famously partnered with  National Geographic. The smaller boat may have belonged to them as well.
