Based on the lunch we had when we arrived, my first impression of Beaufort, SC was a good one. The beautiful building that Low Country Produce occupies was previously the City Hall and originally a post office when it was built in 1917. By a strange coincidence, our hotel was directly across the street and could be seen through the big front windows.
