At first I thought that those mountains in the distance were part of Prince of Wales Island. They don't teach you this in school but Prince of Wales Island is the third largest island in the U.S. after Kodiak and the Big Island of Hawaii (fourth if you include Puerto Rico). On close inspection of the map however I realized that those mountains are part of Gravina Island, and that Prince of Wales is somewhere beyond that. The island in the foreground is Pennock.
I will never remember this. And I would not have remembered it even if they had taught me this in school (which they didn’t ).
