We've had quite a few rooms lately with fine views, but this one at Cape Fox Lodge was among the finest. Not only could you see much of downtown Ketchikan, which is frequently abuzz with activity, but we were literally perched up in the treetops with the bald eagles, which were occasionally seen out the window.
The lodge was even better than I expected in many ways. And the lack of functioning funicular was just as much a blessing as an obstacle.
