Another thing I liked about this property is the way they incorporated an actual historic home into the hotel. The Mueller-Petmecky House is a good example of both German fachwerk and Hill Country limestone architecture. The small (by today's standards) house now serves as a breakfast room - fine for us early risers, but in no way big enough to accommodate the tsunami of weekenders staying at the inn. Regardless - it is still a victory for historic preservation.
