The Better Half

I was pleasantly surprised by The Better Half, a sort of sprawling European-style beer garden that also serves coffee and cocktails and food. We were taken here by our European-style relatives, so it made sense. Soaking in the lively atmosphere and looking at the Austin skyline at night, I almost had something approaching a moment of fondness for Austin. Not that I would want to move here - plenty of others are doing that, and there are plenty of problems - but that I had a moment of understanding why some people like calling this place home.
