As if having a shattered side window wasn't enough, the next leg of the journey entailed driving through a severe sand storm from Van Horn all the way through El Paso. At times it was a big blur. Endless El Paso isn't fun to drive through in normal circumstances, and with the high winds it was potentially treacherous. Thankfully we made it through "the pass" to New Mexico without any problems. The taped up window held up pretty well, despite facing the winds.
That was such a tense drive.
