While admittedly not a very good picture, this is the best evidence that our bird feeder was briefly visited by a black-headed grosbeak (the ruddy breasted creature on the right). A call to our local bird store confirmed that they breed in our area and will be around for a couple more months before migrating south.
I hope there is a return visit.
