It took a bike ride to the PCH to establish that the westbound lane was shut due to an accumulation of mud in the 101 underpass (above). Then a short foray into Emma Wood State Beach, also closed, revealed just how much mud and debris had accumulated there from the recent rounds of heavy rains (below).
That was a mess. Maybe these very latest rains have washed some debris away?.?.?
