After a bit of driving which involved passing through greater Gainesville, we arrived at the geographically obscure destination of Cross Creek. This swampy backwater was made famous by the writings of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, which in turn inspired us to check the place out.
Hurray for MKR. She has brought much to my world.
