The Gibson Inn was a place we had planned to visit some years back but for some reason (weather?) the plan was shelved. So it was satisfying to finally experience it by dining in their restaurant - "The Franklin Cafe". The physical building was as appealing as the pictures had led me to believe - historic, with character, but also in good condition. Being such a warm evening, we dined on the expansive patio.
I think perhaps you were ill that year we were planning to go. Glad we made it for meals here. The place wasn’t like I pictured, but not in a bad way. Just different.
