frogs of Ojai

What a strange experience to be walking down certain trails of Ojai Meadows Preserve (the ones near the pond) and notice dozens, maybe hundreds of tiny frogs hopping on the path. They were both doing their best to blend in with the ground (which they were doing fairly well) and trying to hop away to safety. If you look closely at the photo above, you can see a second, much smaller frog to the left of the bigger one. And if you look closely at the photo below, you can see one in the lower right. These frogs were the size of dimes and nickels.
