the Great Tide Pool


I was surprised that I had never encountered this "Great Tide Pool" near Asilomar State Beach. I can't do a better job describing it than John Steinbeck so I'll let him do the talking.

    I think perhaps we have encountered this area in the past, but were not aware of its name or significance?
