A short walk behind the Stables Inn led to the old Paso Robles train depot. I always liked the sleepy feel of this place. The old depot houses shops and restaurants, while a newer multi-modal transportation center next to it services mainly buses. A northbound bus flashed the sign: "King City $2". That's a pretty good deal for fifty miles.
Perfect lodging for people from King City to bus up for the weekend.
