When I lived in Monterey county, I was aware of Julia's Vegetarian Restaurant but never made it there; it always seemed slightly out of reach due in part to its remote location. This trip however was an excellent opportunity to finally check it out. I liked this gluten-free Margherita pizza topped with cordyceps mushrooms (never heard of these before, so also a first), but it may not have met Mrs' incredibly high standards in the GF pizza department. On the whole however she / we appreciated the healthy and innovative meal and menu.
It was a visually attractive pizza, but looks can be deceiving. However, I did like the mushrooms.
