Once settled into the San Luis Resort we had dinner at the Grotto Ristorante. By far the highlight of the meal, and possibly the best soup of the entire trip, was their tomato basil soup. The flavor had a subtle complexity that is hard to put onto words. It goes to show - if you dine at a restaurant, and you don't try their tomato basil soup, your "highlight of the meal" might cease to exist. Or as the saying goes, if a restaurant has great tomato basil soup, and you don't try it, is it still great?
VERY funny! 😂 The answer is, yes, it is still great- someone has tried it! And yes, by far, the soup was a huge highlight.
