Apparently Vida Coffee in the Village at Mammoth used to be a Starbucks. It's a good thing that this well-designed space lives on as an independent coffeehouse.
I was very pleased with this place - the design, the barista and my drink, which was not on the menu, but suggested by the barista based on my menu questions.
