We had long wanted to set foot in Durango, CO. Then we did. For lodging we stayed at the historic Rochester Hotel in the heart of downtown. It was perfectly delightful with a "Secret Garden" and converted railroad car. Durango has been called the "Hollywood of the Rockies" and each room is named after a western filmed in the Durango area.
It was a cozy and charming place, both Durango AND our hotel.
