The day I identified the Silver Tree was the same day that I discovered that Brakey Road is closed to vehicle traffic and is essentially another hiking trail. This game-changing piece of information opened the door to some interesting new hiking loops. From the look of the encroaching vegetation the road has been closed for some time.
