The focal point of the "Center of the World" is this pyramid which marks the center. Exactly why it is the center remains a mystery. Jacques-André Istel bought this land west of Yuma, AZ in the 1950's and it became the unincorporated community of Felicity, CA. In the distance is a reproduction of a church in Brittany, France.

It had something to do with a children’s book he wrote in which he said (made up) that it was the center of the world (no place TRULY is, geographically) and becaose he said it, and he presented the book to some board as proof, it is now “officially” the center of the world. 🤔
