I walked along the riverbank, under the Interstate and toward the famous Ocean-to-Ocean Bridge. This historic bridge was built in 1915 and was part of an early coast-to-coast highway. This end of Gateway Park is called Yuma Beach. Just beyond this beach is Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park.
Sorry I didn’t make that walk with you. The feeling of uneasiness along that path, for me, would have been similar to that which you feel on an airplane.
