Fountain Paint Pot

The area known as Fountain Paint Pot was a good introduction to the strange world of hydrothermal features - one of the specialties of Yellowstone National Park. How to photograph such features was a whole new challenge for me. The names were often as colorful as the features themselves - the turquoise pool seen here for instance is known as Silex Spring.
