Inspired by an old postcard inherited from my birdwatching aunt, we drove to the tiny town of Mio, MI to see the famous Monument to the Kirtland Warbler. The monument celebrates an endangered species success story. It took a little while to find, but was located in front of the Mio city hall.
It took me many years to see this warbler.
