An early morning walk to The Island House. Built as a home in 1865, owner Edwin S. Noble went to great lengths to create and landscape an island out of a four-acre sand dune. In 1949 the house became a public library, and during our short visit we heard that the library was going to be relocated. In any case it's an intriguingly beautiful little property, well worth stumbling upon.
Curious about its current status.
