Right in front of Wolf Creek Tavern is a small park dedicated to the early pioneers who braved the Applegate Trail. The Applegate Trail was intended to be an easier alternative to the Oregon Trail, but according to this sign it was no picnic. Evidently it gave them nothing but grief.
