Highway 299 from Burney to Redding was new territory, but it was actually a safe, scenic and well-paved road. For various reasons Lassen Volcanic National Park was cut from our itinerary, which was fine, since our cups were already running over with natural wonders. Thank you Mrs. for manning the camera while I drove.
