Cape Blanco is the westernmost point of Oregon. The idea of driving out to that point was appealing, but it's really not a quick side trip off of Highway 101. As the road got rougher and more narrow, and the landscape more lonely and windswept, we decided to turn around in the vicinity of the historic Hughes House. I'm okay with that as it was not high on my bucket list.
