Brookings

Brookings is famous for a few things: it's the southernmost city on the Oregon coast, and it has a unique microclimate that keeps it warmer than surrounding areas. In fact it was pleasantly sunny and mild while we were there. On a more disturbing note, it has a serious history of tsunamis, the last big one being March 11, 2011 (think Fukushima). That detail aside, it was a perfectly pleasant place to stop for coffee.
