Robert Moran was a successful shipbuilder and later a mayor of Seattle. His former estate, a sizable chunk of Orcas Island, is now the Rosario Resort and Moran State Park. Staying here is considered an obligatory part of the Orcas Island experience. We stayed two nights. The food was great, the outdoor pool was cold and black rabbits unforgettable.
AND the view from our balcony wasn't half bad.
